Tsing Yi Hotel (Portion A)  
  
  
The Project involves the construction of structural concrete works for 3 nos. of hotel towers each 20 storeys high on top of a 3.75m deep transfer girder over 5 storeys of podium. Upon completion the hotel will have 800 nos. of suites. Total GFA is approximately 77533m².

Construction methods :-
- podium floors : conventional timber formwork; and
- typical floors above : large panel formwork system for wall construction
conventional timber formwork for slab and façade of the typical hotel suites.

In order to accomplish the tight contract period of 300 calendar days a 4-day construction cycle for typical floors for each block is programmed.

The building structure is also designed to act as a "Noise Screen" for shielding adjacent buildings such as Technical Institute Mayfair Gardens Cheung Ching Estate and proposed residential development next to the hotel from the operations of Container Terminal No.9.
