open window to draw-in fresh air directly. In my own opinion if the air through PAU means treated i.e. better than direct draw-in.

However proper maintenance is needed. Otherwise the result becomes negative.

you mean the term "5-meter blowing-water swimmer" ?
You can't choose that yourself but your status will be upgraded to 10M 20M 50M 100M up to 200M when you have participated more discussion here.
