I thinks Samsung strategy ma...
In terms of branding and packaging Samsung is more renown in high end models and plasma than Philips
Philips... I don't heard much about its promotion...

Philips have 30" LCD cost about $29xxx. Not same technology as the one with 21xxx. The one of $21xxx is cheaper because they use a lower technology as the LCD monitor for computer. You can check the quality. The cheaper one like have a coating on top. Only Philips has this lower grade LCD TV.

Will you mount on wall or put on stand? I heard it is hot and may leave dark stain on wall in long run...

wow!! so many ppl buy LCD and Plasma TV ge!! I really not 捨得 to pay $20000 something for a new TV my old TV just used for one year.
