broadband router problem

有無人用 mgt office 俾嗰條 cable (4 wires) 用 broadband router 派唔到 ip 但直駁 PC 就派到.
如果用 standard CAT5 cable (8 wires) 駁 router 或 PC 都派到 ip 不過 Tel. 就無 dail tone.

If you haven't connect any network cable but telephone no dial tone it is sure the telephone network is not yet connected to your home unless you telephone have problem.

We have three telephone socket in our home have you try all.
If all don't have dail tone I prefer you call network provider.

This topic has been discussed many times previously and I suggest that you can do some search on this site first and you probably will find the answer.  

You must use the cable with 4 wires (not the traditional 8 wires Cat 5 cable) to connect to your RJ45 jack otherwise it will short the telephone circuit.  For 532 your problem seems to be the router itself I don't have problem with my wireless router and you are the first one that reported such problem try borrow another router and see if problem exists it's possible that your router requires 8 wires cable to initiate.  Good luck!

終於找到個問題. 原來個socket有design bug
我公司有個一樣的socket (英式電話加RJ45). 我用tester一試. 原來中間一pair (blue pair) 是電腦和電話共用的.

所以如果條cable是4pair的 會令電話一pair short circult.

我的解決方法是......
換過所有socket.
