hello

i finally confirmed that the network of rc has problem with my systems
(i cannot confirm in the past coz my notebook is P400 too slow)
i got a 'normal pc'(not super slow) to rc
and this pc worked well in pccw network

i tried to get dhcp and i can go online for several minutes

after that
i will get 'server not found' when i launch new IE

so i need to user command prompt to 'ipconfig /renew' and everything resumed


i worried it is my zonealarm and thus disabled it for quite long
the result is still the same that is 'ipconfig /renew' again and again

do you have any idea?

Re: network problem

May be there are some problems in the wall jack!  Make sure that the line connect to one wall jack only otherwise the line will be instable and it will work for some minutes and then cannot connect.

how to check?
can i call anyone(support) to check for me?

Make sure that the line connect to one wall jack only

all the jacks are 'pre-built' i never changed it since day one
is that ok?

otherwise the line will be instable and it will work for some minutes and then cannot connect.

does htc got to responsibility to check/maintain for us?

the most terrible situation is that

the technical staff come
and plug the notebook in
and say "oh it works"
and my pc got problem just at the moment he go into the lift

Re: network problem

1. 如果你駁左電話 記住要用 四線(即係 management 俾o個條) 既 cat 5 線駁 socket <-> router or socket <-> pc

2. 如果你有幾部機 係唔可以分別用廳同房一齊上網 一定要用 broadband router

3. 最好叫人拎部 work 既 notebook 去你屋企試下線
唔得就搵 powercom check 下個 socket.
