Some broadband router/ firewall has settiog or hardcoded setting to allow max concurrent sessions for one host say 128 connections. If you are doing BT or other applications which may create large number of sessions at same time. Your router/firewall will reject any new connections after max number of session allowed. That's why when you reboot the router/firewall all current connection will be cleaned up and back to normal.
Next time if you have same problem try to change your PC's IP address. If after IP address change everything works above explaination stands.
For BT you can limit the max number of concurrent session which can help in this case.

This limitation seems related to the performance of broadband share.
most broadband share price below $1000 can only handle 200 sessions.
try login to web interface of broadband share to verify that is it overloaded (web admin usually very slow when overloaded).作者: unicorn 時間: 2005-12-10 00:53:57
